Heading to Antalya with kids? Practical tips on which area to pick, when to go and how to plan the week.
Antalya is just a 3-hour direct flight from Baku and visa-free, which makes it the favourite summer destination for Azerbaijani families. All-inclusive resorts, kids' clubs and shallow, clean beaches make the holiday easy for parents and children alike.
The area matters. Lara and Kundu, with big aquapark resorts close to the airport, are ideal for families with small children. Belek is quieter and greener, while Kemer, set between mountains and sea, suits nature lovers. Alanya is a little cheaper.
An ideal 7-day plan: two days of pure rest, day three for Kaleiçi and the Düden waterfall, day four for Land of Legends or an aquapark, day five for a boat trip, and the last two days back on the beach. If you want to see Pamukkale, keep a whole day for it — the drive is long.
The best seasons are May–June and September–October: the sea is warm but the heat is gentler than in July–August. Agencies often give 20–30% off for early bookings.
